Zouk Ventures e NextEnergy Capital concludono un nuovo complesso fotovoltaico in Sicilia
London, January 20th, 2011 – NextEnergy Capital (“NEC”) – the leading investment bank based in London and specialized in the renewable energy industry in Europe – and zouk Ventures (“zouk”) – London based investment fund leader in the “cleantech “and renewable energy investments – have concluded the construction of the photovoltaic plant Sun & Soil (SS) in Sciacca, in the Agrigento municipality, one of the Italian countee with the highest levels of irradiation and the sunniest in Sicily.
The operation involved the construction of three photovoltaic plants with fixed ground based structure and over 25,700 panels installed, for a total capacity of 7.1 MWp. The plant Sun & Soil produces electric power that meets the energy needs of more than 2,360 families, helping to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 6,000 tons a year.
The total investment of the transaction amounts to approximately 29 million euro. Sun & Soil, owned by zSOL and NextPower Holdings (Group NextEnergy Capital), was funded through the arranging of a lease granted by Monte Paschi Leasing & Factoring S.p.A. with Fineco Leasing S.p.A. The debt arranging of the financing was handled by the Division of Strategy and Financial Advisory NextEnergy Capital.
