LONDON, December 3 2013:
NextEnergy Capital, the leading global solar asset manager, joined a roundtable debate yesterday on financing infrastructure development, and the role the City of London has to play in providing funding.
The event brought together industry leaders and government officials from across the spectrum of infrastructure development, including institutional investors, asset managers, advisers, government officials and companies involved in designing and building infrastructure projects.
They discussed a wide range of themes such as widening the flow of institutional funding, attracting international capital, what corporates expect from the government, barriers to delivery and the current (and future) generation of projects.
This important debate comes at a time when industry leaders and government officials continue to tackle the challenges the UK faces in areas such as energy supply, transport and housing. It took place at The Mansion House on Monday December 2nd, 2013.
Commenting on NextEnergy Capital’s involvement in the roundtable event, and the UK solar industry, Michael Bonte-Friedheim, Founder and Group CEO of NextEnergy Capital, said: “We were delighted to take part in this event, and our involvement underlines NextEnergy Capital’s long-standing commitment to the UK solar industry. We believe in the Sustainable Energy investment opportunity and will continue to play a leading role in the UK solar energy industry in coming years.”
